Liaison Restaurant + Lounge is a newly added venue to the Hollywood nightlife scene. This is the place to mingle, run into D-list celebrities, models and overall cool a** people. Thursday nights here are so AMAZING. . . and it takes a lot for us to say amazing! Be aware that this place does not start popping off until around 11:30 pm. Yes, we were those people who showed up too early and too sober. So, if your looking to start your night with a bang be prepared to wait until 11:45 to go in.
- THE VENUE -
It's GORGEOUS. The main room is super loungey with sofas on the dance floor and birdcage lights. This room is meant to adapt to both an indoor and outdoor setting as the ceiling can be drawn back to open up the room at night. Also, you can find multiple neon signs throughout the venue - perfect for the gram! We adore the “Please Don’t Do Coke in the Bathroom” sign (also because we all know this is a thing in LA)!
- BEST NIGHTS -
Okay, so when are the best nights to go? Well let's say we loved this place enough to go two nights this week. We went on a Thursday and Saturday night. The two nights were extremely different. Thursday night is our personal favorite because this is industry night so not your average 9-5 crowd, we are talking about A LOT of LA influencers. So be prepared to see some D-listers and other creative people - great people watching! Also, Thursday nights are less crowded and overall have a better looking crowd of people to mingle with. The vibe on Thursday night is loungey compared to Saturday which feels more like a club. And if you know us we love to talk and always prefer a good lounge. Also, the Thursday night DJ is amazing. His mixes are something you can actually move your body to. In contrast, the Saturday night DJ is mediocre at best. I mean are we listening to Skrillex beats . . . terrible. How can we talk or dance to this sh**! Let’s talk a little more about why Saturday at Liaison is so subpar. The venue is packed, actually packed. I mean push us over one more time please. You can tell right away at the door the crowd is much different than the Thursday night crowd. Super wanna be boujee. Am I hitting the club? I hope not.
Liaison Restaurant + Lounge is such a hotspot right now, so regardless of which night you go you will have a good time. But, most people don't realize crowd is EVERYTHING, so take our advice and go Thursday night. Also, be prepared to wait in some sort of chaotic line outside. But no worries, you can drool over the guy who works the door (love us some good eye candy). Also, there are many promoters inside so if you aren't on a guest list you should still try to get in, mingle and meet someone who promotes. Hope to see you all there this upcoming Thursday!
