This is the new spot to see and be seen. Tao Group Los Angeles has officially changed the nightlife scene in Hollywood. Forget having to Uber 5 miles to get to the next spot, the corner of Selma Ave and Cahuenga is loaded with different venues including, Tao, Beauty & Essex, The Highlight Room and Luchini. Each of these spots are beautifully designed and offer their own unique vibe.

- AESTHETIC -

So let’s get back to talking about Avenue. This is such a beautifully designed venue and the layout is perfect for mingling. We are loving this new indoor/outdoor vibe at different lounges and nightclubs around Los Angeles (Liaison has done this too). This spot has 2 bars and 2 main rooms. The first room embodies more of a boujee lounge vibe with disco balls, chandeliers and a bar and the second room is pretty much everything you imagine at a nightclub. Glitzy and Glamorous.

- OUR EXPERIENCE -

Tuesday night – it’s pretty much the only night you should be concerned with when it comes to Avenue. I’m sure Avenue is probably great during the weekend, but in all honesty I find that most spots in LA are just better during the week, as they are less crowded and loaded with cool people. Let me be perfectly clear about this DO NOT GO TO AVENUE BEFORE 11:30 PM ON TUESDAYS. We made this mistake and boy is it brutal entertaining yourself while simultaneously trying not to feel stupid that you didn’t get the memo about what time to show up. So save yourselves from embarrassment and remember … 11:30 PM! Besides the fact that we got there way too early the night was one of the best nights we have had in LA. We started off at the bar at Beauty & Essex and migrated our way to Avenue. The music was on point and as for the crowd, we are talking about cool people in the industry and LA locals. And surprisingly enough, people were actually mingling with each other (… I know, shocking). Unlike some other promoter infested spots in LA, Avenue is a venue where groups of friends come to have an amazing night (not just a bunch of wannabe exclusive girls sitting on the back of a table waiting for drinks). After a long, amazing night of taking selfies in the photo cam and checking out hot, hot men, what could be better than exiting through the pizzeria attached to the nightclub. What a great marketing strategy. The overwhelming aroma of freshly baked pizza on a liquor filled stomach is virtually impossible to pass up. And yes, we had a slice and it was some of the best pizza we have had in Los Angeles (we are Italian so this says a lot. LOL.).

- NEGATIVES -

Well, tbh not much I can say for negatives. Other than the fact that if you are buying a drink prepare to be totally ripped off. Titos and Tonic - $17. Enough said.

- OVERALL - We will definitely be going back to Avenue soon. Tuesdays nights only and after 11:30 PM. We learned our lesson from Liaison that Industry night is always the best night to go and when you try to go on the weekend it just isn’t the same. This is a great spot for celebrity sightings, mingling with cool people… oh yeah and pizza!
