Carrera Café, centrally located in West Hollywood, is the IT spot for all you trendy ladies and gents looking for the perfect insta pic with a custom latte. Honestly this little cafe is so clean and cute. The white tiled walls and neon “Ciao Bella” sign accent each other perfectly. (Yep, we honestly have a neon sign addiction.)
Starting with the coffee ☺ - our favorite meal. (I mean we can’t be the only ones who substitute coffee for a meal occasionally). Boy do we love a good coffee! The latte is great here, but where are the flavor shots. I need a splash of some vanilla or hazelnut flavoring. And the reason why everyone goes to Carrera Café for coffee is because they offer custom foam on the lattes. Be prepared, you have to download the app RIPPLE to upload a picture of your choice or you can choose from the adorable selection of pictures. The coffee price runs a bit steep - about $5.50 a cup. But we think it's definitely worth the price for one Instagram pic in our opinion.
Okay so someone please tell me why they don't serve breakfast. Actually we were told there is a secret menu for breakfast. I mean what is the damn secret . . . you serve coffee, you should serve breakfast. As you can tell we were annoyed by the fact that there was nothing to accompany our morning coffee other than some donuts. Don’t get us wrong they do serve food, but only lunch food. Okay, now the menu, it’s simple, offering a variety of tasty sandwiches and salads and and it's reasonably priced. It works, but could be better.
Overall, would we go back here? Probably, yes. I mean the coffee is good. Also, Carrera is in a great location for people watching. I mean GREAT, that enormous pink Paul Smith wall is right across the street. Yes, we sat there and laughed at the girls looking for the perfect gram pic (sorry if that’s you). Carrera is also a convenient and relaxed lunch spot so we would suggest going during that time. One thing to note are the limited number of tables so you might be waiting or having to take your lunch to go!
